Change Magento session timeout

Magento sets the admin session by default to expire after 3600 seconds (1 hour).

This is how to change the session timeout

System  >> Configuration >> Admin >> Security

Set your desired session timeout

 

Next we have to make sure the session cookie doesn’t expire.

System >> Configuration >> Web >> Session Cookie Management

Set the Cookie Lifetime to a larger number.
